Almost at 18

Tomorrow is 18 weeks. Here's the babycenter.com scoop on how our little one is doing:

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

Our crib was delivered yesterday, and Dan has started building it. I'm really excited to start decorating the nursery, so this is fun (especially since I don't have to do any of the heavy lifting!). My back has been bothering me the last few days though. I'm not sure if I'm sleeping weird or if it's just the beginning of the pain associated with a growing front side. Either way, I hope it feels better soon.

I also feel the baby all the time now. I feel it roll over, change positions, and kick and punch. I felt another kick from the outside when I was waking up yesterday. We definitely have an active baby coming. Hopefully it'll sleep as hard as it plays!
